POWAAH President Linda Jensen was at the Massachusetts State House on Thursday to testify in favor of House Bill 3016, An Act Relative to the Annual Observance of Greyhound Adoption Month.

The bill, sponsored by State Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein (D-Revere), would name the month of June as Greyhound Adoption Month.

Jensen noted that the Massachusetts greyhound adoption programs, including Racing Owners Assiting Racers, Inc. (R.O.A.R.,Inc.) which she chairs, is one of the most successful adoption programs in the country.

“We find homes for every greyhound put up for adoption in Massachusetts,” Jensen said.
